11 Plus GL Assessment
GL stands for Granada Learning, which is the leading independent body conducting 11+ Exams and provides formative assessments to the top UK schools. It is founded by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER), earlier called as NFER-Nelson's, was formally became part of the Granada Learning Group in 2000.
Grammar schools mainly conduct 11+ Exams with the aid of this board
11+ Exam conducted by GL assessment generally lasts up to an hour or less and not more than that. The length of time changes regularly.
Rather than covering a wide range of topics, these exams will cover specific parts of subjects and also target individual subjects.
A typical question paper contains 40 questions which are to be answered within 45 minutes.
The questions are framed in 2 formats:
- Standard format.
- Multiple-choice format.
Generally, the multiple-choice format is widely used. But in 11+ verbal and 11+ Math tests written answer scheme is used.
This 11+ Exam is not time-critical. Your child will be able to answer all the questions within the given time. The difficulty level of this Exam is not at a high range.
